This mobile game is all about making love, taking names and making love again and it’s called New York Nights Sequel 2: Friends for Life! It’s been a while since I made the last post right? I know, I am extremely sorry about that but I had to attend my sister, Labonno’s wedding who came all the way from Canada to Bangladesh to get married in the old fashioned way. Thumbs up and best of luck to her all the way!! It was quite a rush the last few days but I guess it was quite a bash and we are all happy.

Anyway, back to the topic and New York Nights 2 Friends for Life for Nokia is a dream game for those of you who liked SIM City Nightlife or Playboy Mansion. Obviously this is kinda a fun dating game as well which you will love to experience if you liked its kick ass first versions like the New York Nights Success in the City, which was actually built and followed up around the streets and bars of Las Vegas and Miami. This time around your Your mission is quite up to what you decide it to be. You can either be a typical flirter and look for the floaty love for one night stands only or you can choose to find your one and only, your true love lol in the Big Apple. Anyway, you will have the typical “Ross-Chandler-Joey” Central Park shared type apartments and you will have to choose among several types of house mates who will not only be good friends but also helpful when you try to build your social network for you.

You can choose different hairstyles and color and which role you want to play I am not really a one night stand guy (..or am I?) but this game really made me experience the fun through my Nokia N-Series smartphones. Do cinematic stunts like jumping from a roof to convince the girl you wanna get in the bed (…literally too lmao!) or buy expensive gifts with hard earned money and even ending up getting slapped by your girlfriend or girlfriends. You can also impress your girlfriends easily or at least get a head start if you take kung fu lessons soon after you start earning. You have manage everything from talking the right way, eating the right thing at the right time, watch TV at times or attend the bar in the Saturday or Friday or Thursday nights! The dialogs are simply fun fun fun and hilarious at most of the times!!!!!

This game can also be considered as a phenomenal pass time companion which you can resume, pause, resume and pause again according to how free you are or how much leisure you enjoy get everyday. The game story is quite fun to play and does not dry off once you pause it to do your actual work and studies.

New York Nights Friends for Life is a well designed witty and interactive game all around. The overall graphics is quite fun to watch and play, the quality of the audio is really not bad and the overall theme is quite jolly. In the end you have to decide if you want to choose friends or your love, sounds quite ‘filmy’ but I honestly admit it that if you want to experience the way you always wanted to live life, the free and I don’t care at all way then New York Nights really can’t be matched or compared to any other games available. It’s that good!

This is 2008 and it couldn’t get any more exciting than it already is, is that what you thought? You haven’t got a clue because this game is all about a second chance and this game is all about winning, time after time, games after games and penalties after penalties! You got me for sure, FIFA 2008 it is. Did you know that football is the world’s most played and watched game? You have the choice to play quick symbian football games or in a career based mode where you have to choose a club and play in the league games, win the league games and it’s not over because simultaneously you have to be getting your club qualified for the UEFA international club championships. Not only that, this game of mobile football brings much more than any other versions released so far. It has injuries, night play mode with floodlights, the yellow cards and even the red cards. If you start your run too early you are risking to get your on the offside and be pulled back by the dreaded whistle of the referee. As you play on the career mode and win games, your overall points improve and so does your overall stats. The more you win the more your fatigue gets you and the slower the player becomes when taking a long sprint. You have to learn the art of balancing between everything that you have, if you overwork your players then you will suffer in the next game with the same players because maybe only after the first half of the game they will give up on you.

The best strategy in the career mode according to me is to pick up some young players either via club transfers or scouting. Both have their merits and demerits. In club transfers the players are usually more rich in terms of gameplay and stats but they do not come cheap for the transfer. Most of them are actually already playing the most prestigious clubs including Manchester United, AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich etc and wouldn’t want to switch in the first place. However if you have enough cash and do manage to buy a young superstar like Rooney or Messi or even Torres, then you have flexibility to make them your front line force from the get go. If you acquire young players through scouting then you have the freedom of buying them cheap, most players are good as a long term investment but almost none of them can be your front line players from the next match. Just use the transfer season wisely, that sure is all!

In this mobile game of Football 08 (or soccer for some of you) you can configure your keys accordingly with your phone. Most widescreen phone needs to do that bit of customizing because, by default, the game is designed for vertical screen phones of Nokia. Only possible to play on the 3rd edition symbian phones, this game is sure worth the wait. The atmospheric sound effects are quite exclusive and I must admit that I haven’t heard this much details and clarity in any symbian games. If you are on a N-Gage or something of a pda styled symbian phone, then this game is a dream come true mainly because of the extremely detailed, excellent and entertaining graphics. Of course all other Nokia symbian cell phones and handsets can play that mode but I personally think the full package is the best for high end gaming devices of Nokia. The graphics and overall gameplay is quite detailed for a smartphones based game and is surely something to watch out. The best part of the game is the gameplay and the overall experience and if you haven’t played it yet, you are missing out a lot!

With that being said let me introduce you today’s topic, review and a brand new game for your smartphone S60 Nokia devices. Do you like games made out of the true events that took place in the history? Does your mind likes to shoot the enemy yourself or rather be a mastermind and give orders to defeat the opponents while you watch laying over a posh red couch? Today’s game is for those who likes to give orders more than carrying it out for someone else, …and yes, today’s game is all about the history that made the world a better or worse place in your mind, …..and yes today’s game is called the Age of Empires III Mobile.

The Age of Empires puts you in charge of famous battles that took place for real and changed the course of history, making themselves the most important chapters of our history. Whether you are visiting my portfolio blog from the United States, Scotland, Germany, United Kingdom, France, Italy, or Bangladesh the Age of Empires will have something for everyone. This mobile game focuses on your thinking and strategic decision making ability in situations which is almost in dire straits. In most cases our heroes never have had the opportunity to have their food served to them in a golden dish with grapes or strawberry shakes around as refreshments and in this game you will have to walk in their shoes and make sure that you keep the history intact through your Nokia keys and screen. It’s all about the honor, pride and your personal will to succeed which will decide who is standing when the dust settles. Make no mistake that you will need enough knowledge about when to attack and how to attack, counter attack or defend in a possible booby trapped situation. Those who liked Commandos or any strategy based symbian game will absolutely love the Age of Empires.

The story line of this game is really superb and counts for half the marks of the game overall. The graphics overall is not the best or super high definition but then again they are not bad at all and more than enough details are their for your support and enjoyment. There is the classic information menu as well and overall I am not going to complain on the graphics part. In the S60 Age of Empires game you will get to choose which part of history you want to belong, who you want to be and which battles you always wanted to be in during your childhood or even now. You will be the famous ‘Knights of St. John’ and you have to build a new colony yourself with the help of your citizens and ultimately defend the entire Western Europe. After that you will have to make your presence felt by building an empire under your rule. The game is of course a remake of the PC and PS II/III based game the Age of Empires which I am quite sure you have played at least once or heard about it cause it sure made a hell of a success in the market. Don’t expect extreme similarities in terms of gameplay but for a mobile game, this one is packed with features and modes which is quite similar to the original Age of Empires. You can fight directly in battles after unlocking them one by one or choose to play from the beginning where you move on to different levels of difficulty when the odds stack up on you. I personally am not a huge fan of strategy based games to tell you the truth and am more of a FIFA game fan but I do like the Age of Empires mainly because when I play it I really have to use my brains.

You have more than 15 different stages to conquer, with different strategy dedicated to battles and resource managements. If you win battles then you will rewarded with points with which you can buy more resource for your colony or will be able to build different buildings, almost eight in total. You also have a handy pause menu along with an information pop up menu throughout the game which comes to be really handy after a few days of constant Age of Empires addiction. You also have a mini-map to help you guide and navigate easier. The overall sound effects are not bad and you might miss the 3D surround sound a lot but once again the story line really makes up for that. The situations you have to face to finish the game makes you realize how difficult it really is to win a war or to lose it. You can control your moves or decisions via the navigational joystick or at your wish as you can customize it which is a plus for this one. I don’t know if you will miss the heavy machine guns or 0.9mm automatic guns in this one, I know I didn’t. However for me, I rate it 4 out of 5 because I am really not a fan of strategy games.

Honestly speaking this game really depends on your likings about mobile or PDA games. It can really be a dream come true if you are a fan of Age of Empires years back and it can be a ’so-so’ game if you don’t like that. Whether you want to use your N-Series or E-Series 3rd edition symbian cell phones to play games like Super Mario, SIM City or the Age of Empires is absolutely up to you. N-Gage really have opened us a huge range of games, let it be the Lament Islands or Knights of the Dark Age. But this time around Ngage will make you virtually as good as Colin Montgomerie or Sergia Garcia if not any better after finishing this staggering, huge and phenomenal game. In the game of golf you have two kinds of enemies: one your competitors and two, the environment. Since your surroundings does play a huge role in the overall game it is very important that the graphics are equally good compared to the overall 18 holes course. You have elements like a shallow pond or a sudden dump which you have to watch out beside the trees when taking the tee shot from the wooden/plastic peg for the very first hole. If you are superduper lucky and your overall techniques are really good then you might earn yourself an Albatross and go on winning the entire game before your competitors does and if you by chance hit the trees or make the ball land in the water then you can be pretty sure that at best you will finish at par or usually you will earn yourself a double bogey! If your ball lands on the rough instead of the fairway then you will again finish at double bogey usually, unless you score an eagle to make up the mistake.

However, make no mistake about it that this particular game is really one hell of graphics focused game and as a result of which you will be able to play real good if you concentrate. This is a multiplayer game with a possible online access feature if you want to play against the very best in the n-gage arena. Points are saved on the go and rankings fluctuate a little cause after all it is an addictive game which all of you will want to be a master in. One thing this game lacks is the bluetooth functionality which really sucks in my honest opinion, but even playing it in single player mode and against the smartphones will be tons of fun!! The 3D sounds will simply blow your minds away and the overall rivalry is quite interesting along with the courses.

Anyway, this superb game is something all of you will want to play and almost all of you having a Nokia mobile phone actually will be able to enjoy this fine piece of game. The Porche Carrera 911 GT 2 Turbo hits your phone screen face up this time around with Asphalt Elite Racing episode 4. Just like we played on our desktop or laptop once upon a time, the game Need For Speed Porche Unleashed, Asphalt Elite Racing brings you the latest endeavor of a similar racing game for smartphones and mobile. Well, at least the car is almost the same. I must admit that I always have something special when I think of a Porche, any Porche and the Carrera Coupe Turbo is among the top three of my most favorite cars ever. Living in Bangladesh where speed-bumps will never even allow a Porche to be driven and where total cost of any imported cars are 310% tax against face value + the face value itself, it is only an impossible dream to ever drive one! And taka is way too devalued against dollars in the current foreign exchange rate, for example, one USD means 70 Taka here right now.

Anyway, I am way too off topic at the moment as I seem to get lost in a dream when I think of Porche. Back to the game and I must say that this high definition (HD) game is a follow up of the Asphalt Series consisting of Urban GT, Street Rules etc. Like the previous one, this game is also astoundingly similar in terms of high quality sound effects! Except the cars maybe, and the overall graphics of this mobile game which seem to have improved a wee-lil-bit when you press the Nitrous Di Oxide or NOS button for full thrust, this symbian game is enjoyable! Love the blurry part more than anything else in this game. The tracks are new and there is a lotta snow around so you can be pretty sure that controlling the cars will be a huge challenge. And unlike the last episode, this game is mainly designed on a “Are you better than me when turning in the corners?” gameplay. Beside the Porche 911, you also get the chance to drive a Lamborghini Diablo, A Ferrari and some other luxurious brands which brings me to my next point, speed!

The speed of the cars are simply phenomenal and it seems that the overall design of this game engine deserves a 5 upon 5. The acceleration of the cars are pretty wild, of course it varies from cars to cars, but the difference is minimal compared to the overall speed. In terms of overall handling on the dry scorching roads of Arizona, it is great and quite easy. The game actually picks up its gears when you step up on the elite zone and race over the snow. Slide baby Slide!! I loved the overall experience driving on the snowy roads as it was pretty difficult to race on, avoid the cops, their bloody helicopters and control the cars at speeds over 350 KM/H or roughly 250 M/H. Like the previous version of the game, the more you gain speed or bump against incoming traffic, the more “wanted” you are in the radar of the law and the more difficult plus aggressive the feds and cops become. So do watch out the corners and try not to bump too much as I can assure ya that if the feds are after your car then you have no bloody chance of escaping, so forget about winning the race! The story of the game is quite boring compared to Street Rules and I am disappointed in this part.

You can free ride, joy ride and race! You can ride a motorbike (…a racing and good looking Yamaha of course) to evade faster or to get yourself in cold zone during a chase. This have serious impact on the overall game however as you might get bored and never complete the tracks ever which will be a real waste of a good game. In terms of compatibility, this game should run on all 3rd edition Nokia S60 N-Series, E-Series, Symbian OS 9.1 and 9.2 devices. Handsets suchs as the N-Series N76, N73, N81, N82, N80, N71, N77, N91, N92, N95, the hot new Nokia N78 and N96 should work smoothly. E-Series smartphones or pda like E50, E51, E71, E60, E61, E65, E62, E66, E70, E90 is also compatible. The other handhelds like the Nokia 6120, 6110, 6121, 3250, 5700, 5500, 5610 Xpress Music, 5710, 6600 Slide, Arte & 7500, 7900 Prism are also in the long list of supported phones. Major network carriers, both GSM and CDMA based ones like AT&T Wireless and T-Mobile, Hutch, Virgin Mobile UK, Vodafone, Vodacom, Telenor, Orange Mobile UK, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, Digi Malaysia, Orascom etc should have no problem with it regardless of it being a Java based game.
