Whether you are a fan of PDA, handhelds, smartphones or just the plain old cell phones there are some things which we all like! While some might love the scrolling menu of the Windows Mobile 6, some likes the overall experience of smartphones powered by the Series 60 platform. I am total sucker for Symbian OS smartphones when compared to the Windows Mobile devices for a reason and that reason is that unlike the Windows Mobile, Symbian have much more innovative and user friendly products. Additionally, while Windows Mobile do not have the raw power of the MoPhun Games Launcher, the Symbian Series 60 does!! Hence, today I am publishing a bonanza, a feast, for all you Windows Mobile haters and Symbian OS lovers.

Today my good friends, I am giving you two choices!! You can only opt to play one at a time and you have to choose what you want the most.

I am publishing a hefty collection of Mophun platform based mobile games which you will be able to save and edit or in other words, play at will. Yes, like the title says, I am also including the famous and super funny strategy based handhelds game, Worms World Party!! Remember, if you do not know it already, MoPhun Games Launcher and Worms World Party will not work together on your smartphones so choose wisely and live well.

However, before doing all that I feel you should know what exactly MoPhun is. We all know that with the power of Mophun Games Launcher installed on our Series 60 3rd edition smartphones we are now able to play several mobile games of S60 version 2 or Symbian OS 8.2 on our 3rd edition Nokia mobile phones. Now let me tell you what exactly MoPhun is, MoPhun is an open source Software Development Kit or SDK based on the programming environment of Java C or C++, through which open sourced mobile games and Java powered MIDP 1 or MIDP 2 mobile phone applications can be developed. I know, a bit technical but from everything I said, the summary is that MoPhun is an open source, java powered and quite independent platform. Thanks to the MoPhun, that we are finally able to play excellent mobile games like Lock n Load or Rally Pro Contest.

Now that you have an idea about MoPhun and its functions you can ask me specific things about what exactly I am publishing today. Today, like i said above, I am publishing several games along with MoPhun. The games include Worms World Party, Anarchy Boxing mobile 3D, Carmageddon, Da Vinci Code, Fatal Arena, Football Pro Contest, Mighty Joe’s Treasure Contest, Lock ‘n Load Combat Arena, Lock and Load Rise of the War, Lock n load 2, Martial Arts and finally the Rally Pro Contest 3D. All these games are extremely fun to play, specially all the Lock n Load episodes, Joe’s Treasure Quest and Rally Pro Contest. It is quite impossible for me to review each one these free mobile games individually so I will leave it up to you to provide feedback on them, however I will review one of my favorite mobile games of all time, The Worms World Part for Nokia symbian phones.

The MoPhun Games:

In Worms World Party, might I say it is the funniest mobile game in the whole world you play as the hands of pesky worms that are creeping and crawling everywhere. There are fire fights almost everywhere and loads of weapons on your arsenal. In this long and most eventful symbian mobile game you can choose to play as the general of all Worms on your planet and lead them to battle, glory and what not! Even if you die you get to choose how you want to design your epitaph so that you can rest in peace. What makes Worms World Party for Nokia so damn appealing?

First and foremost in Worms World Party you have more than 18 randomly generated levels or episodes, meaning no episodes are usually repeated and for all of them there are randomly generated elements. So the pathway to glory for each level is very different than the last one and from everyone else who are your friends and playing this game. This is a turn based strategy centered action mobile game. Worms World Party have all the elements you can hope for, fun, action and cool visual graphics, not high definition HD but they are really good. Since the levels are all randomly generated, different phones with different resolutions will have them all different but being random anyway, there is no room for improvement left in terms of creativity. Being a worm you will have access to tanks, bazookas and heavy machine guns and you will even have to wear a helmet during battles, aye aye capitano!! The single player mode will offer you several training sessions where you can learn to plan, execute certain tactics, decisions, creativity etc and employ them on the actual battle. You also have the option to play death matches and games based on a specific mission. Beside all these Worms World Party for Nokia N-gage and other Series 60 phones also lets you customize your worms to the very bones, errr… I know, Worms doesn’t have bones! But yes you get to customize your weapons collection and make them unique which is another nifty feature of this game. You also even get to name your favorite Worms!!

What do you win when the dust settles? A lot! Imagine this: You (The Worm) being the king of an entire collection of different types of fruits or you can even be the Captain/legend of lalaland. The way the worms move is another funny thing to follow honestly and half the day you will spend laughing outta your socks seeing that. This being a multiplayer game, Worms World Party, just like Worms 3D or Worms Fort is certainly one of the very best of game ever made for your Nokia!

The Worms World Party:

Once again, both of them will not work on your phone at the same time. Please remember that these games are mobile network operator independent and will work with all GSM and WCDMA providers. A small list of the bigger providers include 3g Wireless, Optimus, Telstra, AT&T Wireless, T-Mobile, America Movil, Sprint, Telkomsel, Hutch, Rogers, Orange Mobile, Singtel, Airtel, Reliance Mobile, TeliaSonera, DoCoMo, MTS, Etisalat, Cingular, Verizon Wireless, MTN Group, TIM Wireless, Telefonica, Nextel, Zain, Vodafone, France Telecom etc.

Whether you are on a pre-paid plan or post-paid plan will have an effect on MoPhun mobile games because for some of them MoPhun Launcher might want to connect to the GPRS or 3G internet. Minimalism, the kind of beauty not everyone is really fond of, but me, I love minimalism! According to me, the basic and the most simple things of life sometimes does look so beautiful and with that in mind I designed this particular theme which I call Minimalistic Art. I mainly designed this theme for 3rd edition devices and handsets, however later on I realized that there are quite a few of my friends who visit here often and is on the 2nd edition smartphones. So I simply had to redo it for the 2nd edition feature pack 1, 2 and 3.

The theme is mainly based on a red gradient as you can see and the eagle in between the screen of your cell phones is inspired from the well known clothing brand, American Eagle. If you look at it closely you will see the irony of this theme, “This isn’t minimalistic art“, funny eh? I am not really feeling a 100% lately to be honest mainly because I have been terribly busy with work almost everyday and attending parties after that. I am not whining, but I am just so goddamn tired! This theme is a product of the period when I was kinda pissed at someone and was just trying to calm down by designing. I know its been quite a while since the last time I released any mobile theme for Nokia symbian phones, but trust me friends, I really am trying to design and update the portfolio/blog every single minute I am free. Anyway, I do like bright symbian themes and this one surely is bright, right Fred? I really hope you like it cause I really tried hard this time! However, if you don’t then do let me know what kind of themes you would prefer to see here in Nokia symbian themes.

This theme is a Scalable Vector Graphics (or SVG) based theme so it should work well with almost any phones, having any resolutions as long as the OS is Symbian. That means almost all S60 mobile phones or pda should be compatible with this one! Smartphones like N-Series and E-Series Nokia N71, N81, N91, N92, N93, N96, N95 8gb, 6120, 6290, 6600 Slide, Arte, Prism, 7360, 7210, Nokia N90, N78, N82, N80, N70 Music Edition, Xpress Music phones like 5700/5710 and 5500 and 5300/5310 5200/5210, N72, N73, N76, E50, N75, 3230, 3250, 6680, 6681, E60, E61, E62, E65, E70, E66, E71, E90 etc should all work! This phone is also network carrier independent as I have symbian signed it myself with a certificate and you should not see an expiry message anytime soon. K.O.D.E or Knights of the Dark Age is one of those game which seems to be inspired from Street Fighter or King of Fighters, mano-e-mano, you versus the laptop or desktop game, ported for your handheld. In this epic game for Nokia phones you get to engage your skills against furious opponents
in a gut wrenching combat in an unknown dimension discovered by the dirty and corrupted llthorion. The game is mainly tournament focused and with each opponent you destroy, a difficult and faster opponent steps in. Thus you progress in the tournament and at last face one hell of a gruesome boss! You get to choose your weapons from your surroundings or environment which will be provided around you when you are having the match against your opponent. In total there are five types of game modes available in Knights of the Dark Age, combat mode, versus mode, the survival mode, easy practice and a very innovative Pokemon style bloodcards match.

In the combat mode you can choose to fight with really difficult opponents in a tournament based match up or series. Every time you defeat an opponent, you advance to the next level and face an even more difficult opponent who is drooling to cut you to pieces. The opponents are really all equipped with superb moves and isn’t really a piece of pie to defeat. They will take you to the limit be sure of that.

One of the best part of the game however is the versus mode, well at least for me! Here you can play against your friend via bluetooth and thus enjoy the awesomeness of multiplayer and smartphone gaming. I tried to play this game myself with one of my friends and it really is a good experience, the gameplay doesn’t stop or pause in between the moves or in events where the graphics engine is running at full force.

In the survival or the time trial mode, you are thrown into a ticking time bomb so to speak and your aim will be to defeat the maximum number of opponents in that specified time, without breaks and life renenwing up. This part of the game is really very difficult and you can only master it once you have played this game enough times to know the moves really well.

In practice mode you can master your moves, and you really need to specially the “special moves”. Must inform you at this point that your handhelds keys really can make a difference for this game, the bigger the keys and the more space you have, the better and faster you will be able to play. The cellular phones from Nokia like N73, N81, N95 etc will do just fine! You also have the option to set up the difficulty level to high or low depending on your motivation to learn and master it overall.

Last, but not the least, is an innovative one of a kind bloodcards match. In other words you will be able to play online against people all around the world with cards, just like you do in Pokemon style games. It can be real fun cause you can see the rankings of other players who are playing this in their pda or cell phone and compare your position on the go!

Knights of the Dark Edge is actually one of the best 3D symbian mobile games available to date. The 3D rendering is almost as good as the graphics you see at Shadow Warrior, Lament Island or Doom 3D for PDA and cell phones. Plus you have the option of bluetooth multiplayer, online rankings and survivalism. This game is really one of the best out there so far according to me and will get you addicted to your favorite mobile phone in no time at all. K.O.D.E is compatible with all the major platforms of Nokia including N-Gage, Nokia N-Series and E-Series S60 smart phones. All the 3rd edition phones like Nokia E65, N71, N73, N80, N81, N82, N91, N91Music Edition, N93, N71, N93i, N95, N76, E90, E50, E51, E70, E71, N78, Nokia 6110, Nokia 6120 and 6121, N75, N92, Nokia 5700 and 5710 XpressMusic, 5500, N95 8gb, N96 E61, E62, 6290, 3250 etc are well supported. Greetings everyone near and far! Hope you are all doing well and happy, if not I am sure this particular free application will ease up your mind and make you go “Oh yeah that’s what I always wanted!” Today I am going to present you the famous file explorer Lonely Cat Games X-Plore, a free one for you peeps! With LCG Xplore you can view all your existing mobile phone drives, the folders and every single file including the hidden system files in a list or tree view. While exploring your phone you can open up any kind of image or text with the built in picture viewer or the notepad editor right from your phone. You can edit any file, delete, cut or copy them in batch and rename it as well from a single menu. Also it lets you change file permissions and make certain kind of files hidden to the naked eye or by the default Nokia file explorer. If you need to send any files directly via bluetooth or infrared then you can just select that file or files and simply press send and voila! the files will be easily transferred.
