Eilloo everyone! One of the best part of Nokia smartphones is the fact that a variety of games are available for it. If you would like to buy fast cars and have a hobby of driving one, then you can play Juiced 2 or Need for Speed Carbon 3D, if you like simulation based games then you can try Sim City Societies or if you are into poker or cards, then Mau Mau. This brings me to today’s post, this post!

Mau Mau is obviously a game known to all of us who love to play cards and roll the dice on the casinos. or for those who just enjoys playing for a little bit of “time passing” at home when they have nothing good to watch, or even those to whom life is located behind the ace of spades. I personally am not a hardcore card player however many of my friends are. Anyway, if you like to play cards then you will love this game! If you want to understand how to play cards and want to earn some respect among other players then you might also want to grab this game. Mau Mau offers one of the most comprehensive explanations of the rules which really makes this game even more enjoyable! Your cards will be located at the handset screen’s very bottom which leaves a nice space to enjoy the view so to speak. The game does have a super easy interface, and offers a lot of points. You definitely earn points everytime a round of playing is over and you win after a predetermined set of rounds have been finished playing with. Your objective would be to lose the cards the fastest, the faster your cards are over from your pile the sooner you win, SIMPLE!

This game can be played with up to four players but you can also choose to play with two players. This classic game also have a classic feature built in which is sound funny sound and hilarious graphics! I mean its not a high definition game at well, but the characters of the game (your opponents) are something to see! I mean they are all whack and every time you win a round, they make this funny, gloomy face which is just way too funny! All in all, this game is a real treat for a specific group of people and if you are into cards, then you are surely in!

Ahoy everyone! Crash Bandicoot Kart 3D is one of the most successful game ever to be released for the PSP and Nintendo Gameboy console. Later it did hit Playstation 2 and Playstation 3, where it single handedly outperformed the total sale of both the PSP and Nintendo together! Later that same year they made it clear that they want the market for the PDA and palmtops by releasing it for Windows Mobile 4 and Windows Mobile 5. Now, we all that it was the end and we will never get to play it in our Nokia. But when the iPhone was introduced for the first time by the guys of Apple, the Bandicoot had to come out of the TV screen, the windows platform and hit the iPhone interface immediately. The only thing that was left after that was for this blast of a game to be released for the symbian and java platform of Nokia, LG, Samsung and SonyEricsson etc. When all hope was lost, it happened finally and Crash Nitro Kart 2 was introduced for the very first time!! The game of course was an instant hit in the Nokia cell phones market and why shouldn’t it be, its one hell of a good game! And now, after several months of development, its my utmost pleasure to present you Crash Bandicoot Kart 3D for Nokia mobiles and smartphones! Yeehaw!

Storyline:

Well, in this episode all hell have broken loose! Dr. Cortex and the ever so villainous Nitrous Oxide has made a pact to beat the ever so exciting and speedy heroes of this game, the Bandicoots! They are planning once again for complete world domination by beating the Bandicoots and it specially seems almost certain when the closest companion of Doc Cortex, Mr Ripper Roo joins the already invincible duo. How will they defeat the Bandicoots? The Evil Macho Man provides the Bandicoots with an offer they cannot refuse (mafia ishtyle baby!), in a stage Kart Tournament of course!

The winner obviously will receive the everlasting title and recognition as the Kings of Kart Racing and the loser will have to leave the island or forcefully exiled out of the N.Sanity island.

As the Bandicoots, you have to make sure that you do not lose your home obviously and you also have to make sure that the world does not get consumed in the grip of the Vortex, err… I mean Dr. Cortex!

Gameplay:

Awesome! That’s all I can say peeps! You can slide and glide and freak and skid all the way to the finish line. You have to maneuver your way through the falling meteors, make your way over the oceans and crash & burn against the heat of the sun on the drying desert of Egypt! You crash and burn almost everywhere else though lol.

Features:

The graphics are quite good, not the best out there but these kind of games actually gets wasted/slow with too much memory consuming processes. High Definition or HD game, it might not be but nonetheless it is almost Nokia N-Gage quality. The graphics are however not anything less than the standard and the screenshots prove that.

The speed of the game is really fast and furious. There are bonuses everywhere and the more you take them the better or more speedier you become. However taking all the opportunities is never easy and everyone knows that. The tracks are beautifully designed and there are turns and unpredictability every where you go. The tracks of this game are quite long and there are altogether 12 long tracks that you have to finish to win the tournament. The weapons are all funny lol! and you will have an awesome time shooting them out, it really suits the game perfectly. Last but not the least, the controllers can be configured according to your need and that makes this game even more enjoyable.

Ahoy pirates and princesses!! Show me the gold I say aye!! Lol. Just kiddin’. One of the best part of Nintendo is the ability that you can control it with the help of your hands. Simply glide your fingers around and you will be in the menu, slide down and you are simply out of it. The touch sensitivity of WiiMote was so successful that they even introduced the Wiimote based guitar and handgun for playing games within like 3 months. Then the pda guys got it! Must say that till lately, the S60 Touch UI was almost non existent and Nokia didn’t seem to care much about it till the whole Barcelona thing. Anyway, today I am going to present you with three of the finest symbian mobile phone applications for your Nokia N95. Yes I am talking about the Nokemote, Nokia DJ and Lightsabre softwares.

They all have a resemblance in a way, they both are mainly developed for the market of the absent movement based touch UI of Nokia. Also not only that, they both are freewares! Too good to be true, I know. Also they are in beta stage of development but I must admit that they are good enough to be released already!

Nokmote converts your Nokia N95 a cloned version of the WiiMote and this lets you control its UI with hand movements, thus letting you enjoy the exclusive and enjoyable experience of iPhone or the Nintendo WiiMote. You can select menu, the messages, open up a message and send it all with the help of your hand. Every single menu becomes Touch Sensitive to say the least. Its quite fun at first, but more importantly, its user friendly when you have adapted its movements properly. You can say it is a different kind of the 3rd edition software Rotate Me which I published earlier.

If you are a big time Star Wars fan then LightSabre is the perfect application for you. Just like the gruesome futuristic sounds of Darth Vader, LightSabre makes your Nokia groan and moan out with specific movements which you can almost assign. Its not useful by any means but rather a fun filled, experimental application or software. I am sure that in the future this particular application’s features and concept will play a big role in Nokia’s Aeon based smartphones.

Lastly I am going to introduce to you one of the official and coolest Nokia application ever, Nokia DJ Mixer. Ringtones shingtones are old stuff peeps! Be your own DJ and mix up your favorite tracks all at once. This application is real fun to mess with and you should try it out at least once I tell ya. With Nokia DJ you will be able to mix all kinds of file types as long as they are of any audio format.

All these applications are compatible with Nokia N95 and needs the official accelerometer installed to work properly. This is what really makes the Nokia 95 the crown jewel of Nokia. It comes pre built with this particular motion based sensor technology. This particular technology officially made its way to the public by the introduction of the Nokia N95. Why in the freakin hell did Nokia kept it hidden, search me man!! Only a handful of application have made its way based on this sensor based technology, examples are Nokmote, FlipSilent, Shake Sms, The official Nokia N95 DJ, Car Inclinometer, Lightsabre etc. and some others. As a businessman there is nothing more irritating than receiving an unnecessary call when you are busy as hell with work. You know that if you reject the call then the caller will call you again and if you answer it then you will be kicked out of the meeting or at least everyone else will think ‘Does he/she ever concentrate on the most important discussions….. sighs… ‘. Well my dear friends of Nokia symbian themes, the problem is now solved with the next business focused set of applications I am going to present you today! As the title suggests it is called Webgate Advanced Call Manager, but wait I am also going to include Webgate Easy Reject, Webgate Voice Inbox and Webgate Advanced Device Lock Professional with it so that you do not miss out of anything!

Previously I also published Ultimate Portable Voice Call Recorder, which actually has a function similar to the Webgate Voice Inbox. However, it seems that the market demand is more for Voice Inbox. It is completely upto you and you alone that which one’s interface you like better. In the past I also publised the Private One SMS and Call Manager for 3rd edition phones which I personally use, so do give it a go to see how it compares to Webgate Call manager. They are both similar and efficient to say the least.

Let us look at the features of these applications at a quick glance, shall we?

Webgate Advanced Call Manager actually can reject or accept calls from a pre defined set of numbers which you can directly choose from the contacts via Black List or simply input it manually. You can additionally delete or hide sms from those numbers if you want to. Not only that, with advanced call manager you have the option to send a predefined set of SMS when you reject calls automatically, thus saving you quite a bit of trouble when you are really busy or want to avoid incoming calls from someone specific. This application is quite lightweight and runs in the background without crashing itself or without any slowing down your symbian operating system even one bit. Beside all these you can define it to accept calls only from contacts, or only from unknown numbers. The “hide call details and SMS” option actually works like the famous MUM SMS application for 2nd edition phones like the N70 or 6681.

Now let us take a look at the best selling Webgate Advanced Device Locks Professional. This one is a utility based software for you smartphones and you can actually make you important files very secure, thus making sure that in case you lost your handhelds or it is somehow stolen, important details like your Bank account number or credit card numbers cannot be exposed. Or, if you use a push based Mobile E-Mail application then you can restrict who can access it by simply setting a password to open up the application. This will make sure that no one gets access to what no one should get access to! Not only that, you have the option to delete data remotely through this application, thus making sure that no personal contact details are being exposed to the thief through your phone. This is really very useful in terms of security of your data in the memory card or the phone memory of your cell phone. If the perpetrator decides to change the SIM card then you can set it up so that it secretly SMS you that new number of your stolen phone’s GSM SIM card and you can submit the details to the proper authority like the police immediately and proper actions can be taken.

With Webgate Easy Reject you can actually reject calls and SMS only, thus it is very much useful if you use another dedicated software or application for the file security of your phone. It simply rejects the call of a Black List number or accept the calls only from White List numbers. Lightweight and straight to the point, this is an application that can also reject SMS, incoming calls and video calls on the go! Basically, if you want someone to keep away from you and your cell phone then this application is the one, period!

Last but not the least is the Webgate Voice Inbox application. What this superb application does is build a virtual inbox inside your phone so that you do not have to call your voice mail box everytime someone calls you and leaves a voice message. But you will ask me now that aren’t the voice messages stored in the network carrier’s router or base station? No they are not with this application. What this application does is record the calls after a few rings (which you can decide how long it will be) automatically and tells the caller with the IVR function to leave a message. It doesn’t let the call get forwarded to the voice mailbox in other words and pulls the playback from your memory card directly thus saving you loads of otherwise incurring phone bills. That’s not all, just like a window pops up when you have a new sms in your phone, a window pops up here too telling you that you have a new voice message! How cool is that?
