FIFA 2010 3D: Let me start by telling you that FIFA 2010 3D is one of the all time best game in the football gaming genre for mobile. This game brings you over 570 different teams and includes over 12620 individual professional football players which makes this game the only one in its genre to bring you such a huge database of teams and international players. You can start playing as a team in over 30 different club leagues from all over the world which includes both first division premier leagues and second division leagues. You have the option to play international tournaments, cups and custom games with your chosen team in FIFA 2010.

The game play of FIFA 2010 3D is compatible with both the 3rd edition and 5th edition Symbian OS devices which means that touchscreen controls are integrated within the game for devices that supports it. Cricket 2010 3D: Cricket 2010 is by far the best cricket game that I have come across in the last 3 or 4 years of mobile gaming. I have tried almost all sorts of cricket games that are out there for your mobile like Cricket T20/T20, Gully Cricket, Brian Lara Cricket 2007, the Ashes, Kevin Pietersen Pro etc. that are available for the Symbian OS but none of them even comes close to what Cricket 2010 offers. It includes the option to bat, bowl and field on a number of different types of limited over one day cricket matches. All the internationally acclaimed cricket teams like England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, West Indies, Zimbabwe, Kenya, Canada etc. are available to be chosen from as your team.

You can individually control each of your starting 11 players and those who are on the benches. As a batsman you can play all the real life shots that superstars such as Tendulkar, Ponting, Kallis etc plays in a match. Depending on your timing your shots may or may not be successful resulting in a boundary, catch, singles etc. As a bowler you can control the speed, swing and spin of the ball during and before the delivery. There are wides, no balls, leg bye, LBW etc and all other sort of extras that are present in the real life world. As a fielder you will have to control the timing while taking a catch and choose which end to throw a ball when there is a run taking place on the crease.

Pro Evolution Soccer 2010: Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 is one of the best soccer game made for mobile that are operating on the Symbian OS platform. You can choose to play the UEFA Champions League and the UEFA Europa League straight without the need to start off with a single team and first compete in an entirely different league. The sounds and in game graphics are moderate on most low end and high end smartphones. Compared to the game FIFA 2010, Pro Evolution Soccer 2010 (or PES 2010) actually performs better on low end phones. However, on high end phones the graphic details are not quite up to the par and FIFA 2010 seems to deliver a better game play experience.

Beside being able to play as an European club in a league of your choice you can also play as an international team in international matches with the existing 2010 line up of players. You can opt and choose either a home or away jersey before the start of a specific match (both club & international) which allows you to have a better visual experience during a match and ensures that you do not mix up your players with those of the opponent. Before the start of any friendlies you can also select a stadium of your choice and even select the type of weather affecting the match. The official UEFA rules dictate your club standings in both the UEFA Champions League and the Europa Cup (i.e. home game score vs away game score). As you can tell by the title of the post the 3 symbian games that we will feature today are Doom II RPG (3D), the classic Simpsons Arcade and the high definition version of Need for Speed Shift 3D. Doom II RPG 3D: Everyone who knows what a computer is probably have heard of the legendary game Doom. There are over 6 different surrounding environments that defines over 26 different levels within the game. The Need For Speed Shift 3D: The Need For Speed Shift 3D (NFS SHIFT) is the most recent follow up score of the Need For Speed series racing game. This Nokia smartphone S60 version (also available on iPhone, iPod, Console, PS & PC) offers you some fantastic adrenaline pumping 3D racing experience on your mobile with over 24 different tracks to choose from. Need For Speed Shift 3D allows you to take full control of your car’s visual appearance on the street thus letting you customize your ride to the fullest so that your ride reflects you on the race. Plus, you can customize, tune and upgrade the performance of the car with parts and tune-ups that you have to unlock by winning races. Need for Speed Shift includes performance kits like nitrous boosts, turbo engines, suspension packages and engines overhauls which can turn your stock car to a beast overnight! However, even though it might sound like a street racer’s game it really is not. Two of these games are highly resolution dependent meaning the overall gaming experience that you may see in the screenshots will totally depend on the device you are playing it on. Generally speaking, most action games that are 2D in nature usually provides an awesome high end performance in both high end devices and also on any ordinary Nokia devices. The action games are called Zombie Infection, Terminator Salvation and G.I. Joe: The Rise of the Cobra.

Zombie Infection:

First up is the superb action game Zombie Infection for Nokia smartphones. A better high end version is also included for Nokia smartphones like the Nokia N95, N81, N85, N82, N96 etc. The story of the game is awesome and copied from the pages of the first episode of the game and movie Resident Evil. Instead of Raccoon City the infectious T-Virus (referred as a dangerous virus in Zombie Infection) have spread throughout the streets of New York City and you are part of the “Insider Team” who is assigned to exterminate and contain the virus within the city or wherever it has spread out so far.

Unluckily though, one of my most favorite hero – the absolutely stunning Milla Jovovich (pronounced as: mee-luh yo-vo-vitch) is missing in the game and instead you will have to fight as any one of the following depending on the stage you are in: (i) a news reporter (..come on!!!), (ii) a hand to hand combat specialist or (iii) a slam bang military specialist. Regardless of the disappointing copied storyline, the game is a clear winner and will surely satisfy any regular mobile action gamer.

You will be able to choose from a wide array of weapons as your arsenal which includes katana, rockets, machine guns, hand grenades and many more. A total of 36 different missions define the entire game and not one of them is boring to say the least. The overall firepower and their effects are truly amazing and distributed throughout the game. Zombie Infection does not get boring at any point in time which makes this a really long yet very entertaining game a must have installation on your Nokia smartphones.

Terminator Salvation:

While Zombie Infection takes place in 2011, the action packed game Terminator Salvation takes place somewhere in Los Angeles in the year 2018. You play as John Connor and you will have to lead a team consisting of Kyle, Marcus and others to defeat the Skynet takeover of the world. This game is a 3rd person shooter based game and many of your enemies will be equipped with high tech weapons and almost indestructible shields. Obviously, this is not possible and viable as you will not be able to finish the game Terminator Salvation if that was the case.

The Nokia game does give you a glimpse of how the Terminator Salvation Movie turned out to be – yes you can guess it right – it sucked! And in terms of storyline this game does suck!! Nevertheless, you will enjoy the sudden appearances of the robots aka machines around you and the game’s wide range of different genres squeezed into one. Another awesome part of the game is that even though the story line sucks, it resembles exactly to the movie and does it with 9 extensive gaming levels.

In Terminator Salvation you will have to complete two different mini-games where you will have to guess and simulate to hack the mainframe of the Skynet Securities so that you and your friends can enter the vicinity safely. Like I said before, this game also mixes several genres into one very well. From driving cars and motorcycles to flying with special tactical-futuristic flying planes/vehicles you will have to do it all. If these were absent then this game would have been impossible to play through entirely.

G.I.Joe – Rise of the Cobra:

G.I. Joe – Rise of the Cobra is the official game of the cartoon based movie G.I. Joe – Rise of the Cobra. The story of the game is exactly the same to that of the movie and that results to pure fun for any existing G.I. Joe cartoon and characters fan because this mobile game is not that bad of a game at all.

The game offers 2D graphics which all over is not bad in any way and is actually one of the most fluid background graphics I have seen in a while. It comes with a side-to-side navigation and you will have to maneuver your way into the game from levels to levels. You can choose to play either as the mighty Joe, Scarlett, Ripcord or Duke. Each has their positive sides and negative sides and will give you a edge over the other.

In G.I. Joe Rise of the Cobra Commander, your enemies range from the evil Storm Shadow to the mighty Baroness and finally to finish off the game you will have to defeat the baddest of em all: The Cobra Commander. You can perform combo moves which are also unique to the characters you choose to play as. All over this game pulls off awesome scores in my book simply because the game offers what it shows and will let you enjoy fast game play without slowing down your game in between the levels and enemies.

SPB Brain Evolution: SPB Brain Evolution by the SPB Software group is certainly the most extensive puzzle based game available in the Nokia app or Symbian games market. It weighs quite a bit in terms of size (with a whooping 4.2 MB) but it is worth the size. The game is truly a masterpiece and designed in such a way that any regular or irregular mobile gamer will love it wholeheartedly. It brings with it 10 built in mini games including a full featured game on Sudoku (Sudoku rocks!), Minesweeper, Numbers, Encyclopedia, Ball Trackers etc.You can test your arithmetic skills and gradually increase your ability to remember things, guaranteed!

All the mini games require you to unlock certain points or reach a certain points limit after which you can move into its next level. If you are a follower of our blog Nokia Symbian Themes or Chaos Inc. then you are already aware of the post I published months back about Real Football Celebration 2009 where I featured the 2009 versions of Real Football and Real Football Manager Symbian games. You can say that this post is the follow up of that post with the latest versions of those two games which are being featured here today in this post. The most important difference between Real Football 2010 and Real Football Manager 2010 with the 2009 versions of these games is ability to play online in real time multi-player mode.

Real Football 2010 (Real Soccer 2010) HD:

This season of 2010 is considered as the most intense season that can be ever played on smartphones or Symbian mobile devices. Real Football 2010 brings over 8 different and unique leagues from all around the world on your small screen handsets of Symbian. Real Football 2010 consists of 245 different teams that you can choose from, all unique to each other in every way. When you choose to play the game in the Club Master League with a chosen team you will be automatically assigned the actual league that you will play in. For example if you choose to play with Manchester United then you will automatically play in the Barclay’s Premier League or if you choose to play with Real Madrid then you will play in the Spanish Premira League or the La Liga and so forth. It will also offer you to play the international leagues such as the UEFA Cup if your club qualifies for it. The Club League mode of this mobile game can also be said to be a Club Career mode where you start from the bottom of the league and work your way up as a team to increase its overall trading value, rankings etc.

If you are new to football games on mobile then it is a wise step to start with the Season Training mode which is there for a reason! It will be extremely hard to get a hold of how you perform in a game by skipping the training sessions and playing into the actual league matches. The training mode will give you all the essential tactics and performance tips by letting you perform Free Kicks, Penalties, Corners, Throw – In, Controlled Dribbling, Short/Long Passing and overall player tactics in a game. For example, when you are 2-0 down in the second half of a game it will help you to perform much better in the attacking mode by changing your team tactics to 3-4-3 or 2-4-4 and substitute defenders with strikers and so forth. Training mode will help you lots regardless the mode you later choose to play in this mobile game. When you are playing the legend mode as a Play-Maker, Striker or Attacking Midfielder, the better your positioning is on the field the more chances you will get to see the ball and score.

Real Soccer 2010 offers great graphics and a whole lot of new creative pop-ups which will help you throughout the game. For 5th edition devices it is a total new experience playing in the legend mode because both positioning, passing and free kicks are controlled by the touch interface. Tap to the exact position you want your player to be in during an attack and he will be right there waiting for you to kick that ball in the back of the net once you get it. The 3rd edition HD version is equally good with some great detailed 3D graphics and intelligent game-plays which is rarely seen these days.

In terms of graphics the 2010 have improved rendering compared to the 2009 in almost all aspects of the game. Both the Bluetooth and online multi-player league is something totally new and unique and should be fun for everyone who loves football or soccer because muti-player was the only thing that was missing in the 2009 versions of the game. You will be the manager of any club in the world and work your way to be the best team with the best manager of the world. This game is one of the most comprehensive strategy based simulation game ever to be made for mobile phones and PDA devices.

One of the most biggest development in this game is its cross – compatibility with the Real Football 2010. You can make custom teams in Real Football Manager 2010 and export that entire team to Real Football 2010 HD. The custom players along with their custom attributes and hiked season transfer price will be available for each team. You can then export this custom team into the online RF League and compete worldwide on the net.

In Real Soccer Manager 2010 you will have to face the press at the right time with the right decisions. For every action that you take being a manager will impact your team players moral and motivation. Changing tactics, attacking formation and substituting players at the right time are your day in day out job when you are in between a game which is happening live. While off the field you will have to keep eye on your team’s training schedules and overall player fatigue.

This High Definition or HD version of the game Spider Man Toxic City was previously unreleased but recently due to the popularity of HD supported smartphones and PDA devices like the Nokia N97, X6, X3, N86, N85, N82, N81, E71, E75, E72, E63, E66, 5800 and 5530 XpressMusic among many others it seems to me that this upgrade was made. Spider-Man Toxic City HD brings a whole lot of fun and integrates the classic comic style graphical engine which really goes with this game nicely. Heroic dialogs and retarded villains are the only the beginning of what this awesome Nokia 3D mobile game has to offer. Spider Man Toxic City HD brings some new moves for Spidey to perform and even though they are not available for you to perform from the beginning, you will be able to pull them out as you cross the chapters one after another. These moves includes new techniques of web swinging from buildings to other rooftops, crawling in a very different way directly clinging onto the wall and combo moves that effectively kills the regular zombies if they are performed right.

As we witnessed in the latest Spider Man 3 movie that Spidey is introduced to a new enemy which essentially was himself or his alter ego the black Spider Man, in Spider Man Toxic City HD game it is the same. It is really good to see the adaptation of this particular scenario as it boosts the story line in an interesting way and to be honest almost anyone will like it. This Nokia game is good as it is a HD game and brings high quality 3D graphics on your smartphones or PDA but the story line is truly the biggest thumbs up factor of the game because at no point of the game you will be bored with stupid and repetitive stuff.

The overall graphics animation and sound quality of the game can be rated at 5 out of 5 easily mainly because this HD version have kept the old comic style gaming style and integrated the latest 3D animations within them rather than changing the overall appearance of this amazing action game. It also requires you to unlock some hidden bonuses including the alter ego of Spiderman which you can unlock by collecting all the items of the notebook. You will have to face Green Goblin at the end of the game which will be quite a battle and that I assure you. Beside him you will also have to defeat the infamous Doc Oc, Shocker, the Vulture and Rhino.

Deep into the game will be a time when you can even play as the beautiful Mary Jane! While playing as Spiderman in this Toxic City you will come across many known landmarks and famous buildings located at the New York City as this game is based on NYC. All Nokia 3rd edition and 5th edition devices from the N-Series and E-Series family will work with this HD game.

Assassins Creed 2 HD takes place in Italy and during the time of the Italian Renaissance in the early 1500s. You will play as Ezio who is the only son of a highly respected and honest nobleman. Both Ezio’s father and mother was killed brutally by the bad guys and conspirators who later on establishes that Ezio’s family is not as honest and kind as they pretend themselves to be, rather they are blamed by the conspirators as the one family which is doing all the wrong to the ordinary people of Florence, Italy. As you grow up you are trained to become the deadliest assassin and a street smart shadowy thief residing in the city who is willing to take down anyone as long as the price is right.

Unlike the PlayStation 3 version of the game where you are able to control almost every aspect of the environment around you, the mobile version of Assassins Creed 2 HD is limited to what you can control and touch. Nearly everyone you come across, when escaping from the enemy at any point, you will face one out of two consequences: i) Fight with them till death or ii) escape from their attention by jumping over them to the other side. As much as I can tell the HD version is also available for other PDA devices like HTC and iPhone beside the Nokia N97.

During a jump if your character even slightly touches their body in any way, you will have to engage in a man-e-mano battle and fight it all out. If you are a mobile game freak and the proud owner of a N-Gage 2.0 gaming compatible device then fighting is just super fun with multiple combos and you will love this game!

Assassins Creed 2 HD on N97

Mostly, before you undertake any mission from the highest bidder of the market you will have the details of the enemy and special insights about their ammunition, weapons, combat expertise and the possible routes through which you can escape after a successful assassination is completed. This gives you enough insights of how you want to start a mission for e.g. whether killing the guards at the entrance is a good idea or not. Compared to similar mobile games for smartphones and PDA, Assassins Creed 2 distinguishes itself by providing you complete information without exceeding the standard memory consumption of your device.

Chopping, slashing and hacking the enemies are the best possible methods to kill any unsuspecting soldiers or guards, the same does not really work when you are escaping from them. Near the end of almost all the levels you may get frustrated because of the number of soldiers after you simply is overwhelming when you are fighting them with a blade or knife and simultaneously trying to escape within a limited amount of time.

The overall pace of the gameplay speeds up when you are near the end of a level which is a smart feature that was lacking in the first episode of Assassins Creed. It certainly helps you significantly in terms of patience when you are stuck in a particular mission or a particular situation within the game. There are 9 different and detailed levels of action filled game play for you to enjoy in this game! Other than a very few objects, you can freely touch and engage with every single element of your environment. Simply put, in this Nokia game you will be the good guy who does all the bad stuff to protect the innocent people he cares about.

In Assassins Creed 2 you will have access to new combo moves and some new weapons that were not present in Assassins Creed 1. Some of these new combos are difficult to perform without previous experience but you can become a master at them if you just practice a bit. Plus, a translucent marker maps the combination of key-presses required to perform a move which comes in real handy.

Assassins Creed 2 HD actually has a standard version that came out before the High Definition version of the game. The HD version of AssAssins Creed 2 actually was made for Brew based devices but as we all know that any Brew based HD game will work on any S60 Version 3 based symbian device.

Guitar Rock Tour 2:

Almost similar to the original version of Guitar Rock Tour, the follow up version of this game provides you a bunch of new original tracks (a total of 16 tracks!) to groove yourself into the music. Like its actual X-Box and Sony Playstation version, it includes some of the coolest tracks ever put into a single game.

Ferarri GT Evolution HD:

Being an upgraded version of the mobile game Ferrari GT Evolution, what can you expect? Better cars or better graphics maybe? Let me assure you that you can positively expect both and even more in terms of Touch UI compatible controls.

The HD version however does have a few perks that makes it a clear winner to someone who is addicted to N-Gage style gaming. Ferrari GT Evolution HD re-introduces the Asphalt HD graphics engine which improves the overall controls and gaming visuals during the simulation modes significantly. Ferrari GT Evolution HD is quite easy to get a hold of provided that you have played any other similar HD speed racing games in the past because the controls and car movement is like those in a way.

Ferrari GT Evolution HD offers a total of 8 cars, all by Ferrari (obviously!) including the newly released Ferrari California. Depending on your phone the car controls vary a bit, however if you are running this mobile game on the Nokia N96, N95 8gb, E71, N81, N82, 5800 XpressMusic or N97 then you will suffer no lags whatsoever. Game play is really fast on the mentioned devices and works better than expected!

The overall improvement in the graphics is quite a bit which makes this game enjoyable more than the standard version in a way. It presents you the option to control the advanced parts of the cars like traction controls, brakes etc and lets you customize many other factors. For each of the 8 cars that are present in the game, you will see that their respective controls, performance and tuning is different.

Ferrari GT Evolution HD

In my personal opinion I enjoyed Ferrari GT Evolution HD the most when driving in simulation mode of the race because of its smooth yet agile car controls and detailed 3D graphics without any game lag. The game takes you through 4 different cities and each one of them are beautifully drawn in 3D graphics that reflects their real life condition pretty well. Beside the environmental details, all the cars of your competitors are well detailed which makes this game even better.

Overall this HD game’s playable modes are similar to the regular Ferrari GT Evolution version and it provides you option to play either arcade based gaming or following a career where you have to explore and win races to unlock new races, cars and cities. Just like the regular version of Ferrari GT Evolution HD, this mobile game can also be played in bluetooth based multiplayer mode.

The overall Graphics FX detail of the game is really something that needs to be given some special praise for cause they are simply outstanding compared to other small screen games. The Audio FX of the car engine can be well felt during the simulation mode as that part of the driving is more machine based compared to the actual race where decisions are emphasized.

Whether you are a new gamer or a hardcore racing fan, Ferrari GT Evolution is something you must give a shot because it is worth the price!!
