Today we will feature 2 old school games and one that is a spanking new addition in its saga!
As you can tell by the title of the post the 3 symbian games that we will feature today are Doom II RPG (3D), the classic Simpsons Arcade and the high definition version of Need for Speed Shift 3D. All these games are supported by a wide range of Nokia devices which includes all X Series, N-Series and E-Series smartphones and touchscreen PDA.
Doom II RPG 3D: Everyone who knows what a computer is probably have heard of the legendary game Doom. This is not just a game that is great but it is one that redefined the gaming industry for PC and it will probably do the same for Symbian OS mobile! Doom II RPG is the mobile version of the classic 3D first person shooter game that we all played on our very first Windows 95 or Windows 98 PC. The same game is now redone to suit the small screen in an optimum manner with better graphics, enhanced audio and flexible controls. With 3D graphics and insane monsters all around – this game is a clear winner in the RPG genre!
The Simpsons Arcade: This is certainly a much long awaited game for the die hard fans of the Simpsons series. In this arcade style mobile game you will experience the same cartoon-like feel with the subtle wits of Homer as he goes into an adventurous journey to get to the prize – the donuts! As well all know by now that when it comes to the donuts – the simpsons – they can do anything for them. On your way to the donuts you’ll have to defeat the Springfield police and other “evil people” who tries to stop you and get the donuts for themselves. Additionally, you can take help from your family members including Bart, Lisa, Maggie, Marge etc. both individually as well as together. There are over 6 different surrounding environments that defines over 26 different levels within the game. You can touch control Homer’s movement and other special moves on the 5th edition smartphones that includes touch support.
The Need For Speed Shift 3D: The Need For Speed Shift 3D (NFS SHIFT) is the most recent follow up score of the Need For Speed series racing game. This Nokia smartphone S60 version (also available on iPhone, iPod, Console, PS & PC) offers you some fantastic adrenaline pumping 3D racing experience on your mobile with over 24 different tracks to choose from. Need For Speed Shift 3D allows you to take full control of your car’s visual appearance on the street thus letting you customize your ride to the fullest so that your ride reflects you on the race. Plus, you can customize, tune and upgrade the performance of the car with parts and tune-ups that you have to unlock by winning races. Need for Speed Shift includes performance kits like nitrous boosts, turbo engines, suspension packages and engines overhauls which can turn your stock car to a beast overnight! However, even though it might sound like a street racer’s game it really is not. NFS Shift 3D is more of a simulation game and it also allows you to drive from the driver’s perspective (3D HUD view) from within your car. Intense engine sounds, screeching tire burns and illuminating deadly crashes are only some of the new features of this game.
