Two ways to solve this, on a permanent basis you can follow my signing guide here and get your own certificate easily – or – at least toggle the phone’s date to 2010 before the installation The second one will solve your problem easily for this particular file at least

hii.if u are getting ‘certificate expired’.u have to sign the root of the application using ‘rootsign.exe’.which is available in rapid library.

I downloaded all core players in my phone & tried install but sorry to say that none of them cud instaaled in my nokia 5530 it showed message “EXPIRED CERIFICATE CONTACT APPLICATION SUPPLIER”.

I have a 5800 express music model.
v50 custom firmware.
I installed all of coreplayer programs in this article.

even my model is mentioned in the below of this article,
it seems like unstable & dosen’t work except the menu.

I think those programs are NOT compitable with my model.
5800 express music users don’t spoil your time,

first you have to go to folder instalation
then open app.manager
klik option choose settings
software installation change to All
Online certificate check change into off

This cannot work for newer phones(s60 v5).I tried all versions.They should modify the informaiton given in this page.I t is totally misleading for people.core player is not yet released for s60v5 phones.

This don’t work with Symbian S60 V5. It does for S60 V3 though.

if u had an “expired certificate” then just change ur mobile’s date to 11/11/2009 for example,,,,but if it was a certificate error, just follow these steps:
1- remove the memory card.
2-open the dialler, then hit *#7370# (u’ll be prompt to enter the lock code)
3-the phone will restart, coz this procedure will return it to its factory settings.
4-after the phone restarts, u’ll have to set all the basic info again (regional settings, time, date etc..)
5-when it comes to the main screen, turn it off again, then put back the memory card, then turn it on again,,,,,
BUT BE CAREFUL!!! this process will set the phone back to its factory settings,,,,and i recommend u perform a backup of ur contacts, msgs, notes, and wotever files u dnt wanna lose before attempting to do it……

CorePlayer for Symbian does’nt play WMV, that is known limitation – see general discussion board on Core sites !

Those who gets the error on certificate or untrusted soft etc. it the same problem symbian protected from accessing to system files, you have to get self signer, e.g. get application signed to your phone or u have to crack your phone to install any applications.

regarding 5800 and othe touch symbian i am searching everywhere but there is no version of coreplayer working one for this phones…..

don’t download the last. it contains viruses and makes your phone crash when trying to uninstall any programs under app manager. don’t download such coreplayers, where you have to install more than 1 thing.

So I downloaded the \CorePlayer 1.3 for unlocked (or hacked) symbian devices\ version listed above and tried installing the same sisx file using PC suite. However the installation failed and aborted saying \Incompatible software from untrusted supplier\.
